Annual Holiday Sale - December 19

One of our favourite fundraisers is just around the corner - it's WEHSA's Annual Holiday Sale where you have the chance to be one of Santa's helpers!
The Holiday Sale will be taking place the morning of December 19 in the school gym where the students can purchase gifts for their families from a selection of nearly-new/previously-loved items.
To make this sale a success, we need Wakefield Elementary families to search their homes for items to donate to the sale. Please keep in mind that students will be shopping for both men and women, so please consider both when donating items. Also, in the spirit of inclusion and acceptance, we request that the donated items are representative of multiple faiths and cultures. We are also looking for donations of gift bags and wrapping paper.
Donations are being accepted until December 18. There is a blue bin outside of the school office for donations of gift bags and wrapping paper. Donations of household items can also be dropped off at the school office.
The funds raised will be donated as follows:
• 30% to the Guatemalan Child Care Project
• 30% to the Wakefield Community Emergency Fund
• 40% to Wakefield Elementary School
As per tradition, the Guatemalan Child Care Project will be invited to sell their goods during the Holiday Sale. Click here for the price list of items to be sold.
All remaining items will be donated to Rupert’s.
If you would like to help out with the Holiday Sale, please contact WEHSA at wehsa2017@gmail.com or fill out our volunteer form by clicking on the following link. We need volunteers to help set up on the evening of December 18 starting at 6:00 pm. We also need volunteers to wrap presents and shopping assistants, as well as to clean up. Expect to be at the school from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm on the day of the sale on December 19.
We look forward to hearing from you!
